November 16-17, 2026, Gucheng, Xiangyang, Hubei.

Yifu Intelligent Hubei New Industrial Park is about to be unveiled. At this key node of the "manufacturing-use-regeneration" closed-loop completion, we invited a technical man who directly applies his mineral processing skills to new energy solid waste - Dr. Feng Yi, process technology manager of Beichen Advanced Recycling Technology (Qingdao) Co., Ltd.

He graduated from China University of Mining and Technology majoring in mineral processing engineering. He is a postdoctoral fellow jointly trained by Central South University and Beichen Recycling. He is officially confirmed to attend this forum and the moving celebration of Yifu Intelligent Hubei New Industrial Park, and will bring a theme report "Lithium Battery Recycling Intelligent Equipment and Systems".From electrified crushing, green dissociation to full-component sorting, he will explain the process route and equipment logic of the recycling plant in one go.

A practical engineering school who brought "mineral processing thinking" into the battery recycling production line

Dr. Feng Yi has been deeply involved in mineral processing engineering from his bachelor's degree to his Ph.D., and laid a solid theoretical foundation for particle dissociation, sorting and resource enrichment at China University of Mining and Technology; Afterwards, he entered the postdoctoral stage of joint training between Central South University and Beichen Circulation, and changed the research scenario from mine crushing to green dismantling and high-value recycling of retired batteries.

He is currently the technical manager of Beichen Recycling Process. He has long been involved in the recycling of new energy solid waste and circular economy, focusing on the green dissociation, efficient sorting and high-value utilization of waste resources such as retired power batteries and photovoltaic modules.

Dr. Feng is good at translating the "dissociation-grading-sorting" logic in mineral processing into the language of the intelligent production line of battery packs: which materials should be tiered, which pole pieces should be directly crushed, and how to separate black powder from copper and aluminum foil with low damage. His work covers new process development, core equipment optimization, pilot scale-up and industrialization. He has led and participated in a number of national, provincial and ministerial-level scientific research projects and leading enterprise industrialization demonstration projects. His technical direction spans ternary/lithium iron phosphate battery recycling, photovoltaic panel pyrolysis sorting, etc. Relevant demonstration projects have been running stably in Yancheng, Qingdao and other places in Jiangsu.

In-depth echo with the theme of the forum "New Energy and New Materials"

Feng Yi’s report"Lithium Battery Recycling Intelligent Equipment and Systems", just in time to complement the most core part of the closed loop of "new materials-new equipment-new cycles" of this forum: the regeneration process.

The report will not just talk about "recycling is a blue ocean", but will break it down into three layers: process layer - how to suppress explosions through electrified crushing, how to maintain the purity of black powder through dry dissociation, and how to balance glass and metal recycling in photovoltaic module pyrolysis sorting; equipment layer - machine vision How to embed the feel, flexible fixtures, airtight conveying and online testing into the production line, turning the master's touch into a reproducible algorithm; at the system level - carbon footprint traceability, MES and production ledgers are connected, only then can recycled materials meet the requirements of whitelist audits and EU battery laws.

For recycling companies, it gives the input sequence of "safe crushing first, then fine sorting"; for cathode factories, it reminds that the impurity spectrum of regenerated iron phosphate/lithium carbonate is different from that of raw materials, and the dispersion and sintering in the front stage must be readjusted; for equipment companies such as Yifu, it means that "grinding-dispersing-grading" not only serves forward manufacturing, but also reversely enters the process of black powder re-granulation and regeneration precursor homogenization. Forward equipment and reverse equipment will eventually share the same technological language.

In the golden autumn of November, Gucheng’s new garden opens

From November 16th to 17th, in Gucheng, Xiangyang, Hubei, we listened to Dr. Feng Yi arrange "which processes must be closed-loop now and which equipment can be superimposed in the second phase" into a project roadmap. We also watched how Yifu's new production line uses high-precision dispersion and stable transportation to catch the process rhythm of recycled materials. Relocation is not a ribbon-cutting, but a front-line technical team like Yifu and Beichen Cycle, working together to pave the last mile of the lithium battery life cycle.

Start a new journey with you in Gucheng, see you there!
