November 16-17, 2026, Gucheng, Xiangyang, Hubei.

The new garden is located in Jingchu, and the sodium and electricity special lecture is taking advantage of the opportunity. As the Yifu Intelligent Hubei New Industrial Park moves from "construction drawings" to mass production sites, the focus of competition for new energy materials has also shifted from "whether they can be made" to "whether they can serve stably in a wide temperature range, high magnification, and long cycles."

At this parallel node between the opening of the new park and the industrial forum, we welcome an industrialization promoter who has been deeply involved in sodium-ion battery polyanion cathodes for a long time and has made the "sodium ferric sulfate (NFS) engineering problem" into a "standard configuration for light power and backup power scenarios" -Dr. Liu Zhongqing, Chairman of Nayuan Technology (Nayuan New Materials),Officially confirmed to attend the 2026 New Energy and New Materials Industry Development Forum and Yifu Intelligent Hubei New Industrial Park Relocation Celebration, and will bring a keynote report"Application Scenarios and Commercialization of NFS and NFPP"。

The hard-working sodium electrician who "made the connection" of polyanion NFS

Liu Zhongqing, founder and chairman of Nayuan New Material Technology (Wuxi) Co., Ltd., holds a doctorate in Germany, He once engaged in postdoctoral research at the Jülich Research Center in Germany (in the team of Martin Winter, academician of the German Academy of Engineering), and later worked for the German SCHOTT Group in charge of battery product development, and engaged in energy research at the University of Oxford. He has top academic training and transnational engineering experience.

As a returned doctor from Germany and a member of the SAC/TC Green Supply Chain National Standards Working Group, Liu Zhongqing has been selected into the National Major Talent Project Program, Taihu Talent Program Entrepreneurship Leading Talent (Category A), Feifeng Leading Talent, and won the 20th Jiangsu Youth May Fourth Medal. He converted chemical by-products into high-performance polyanion cathodes, filling the gap in domestic NFS engineering. His core technical results were published in "Nature Reviews Chemistry" (IF=51.7), and he obtained a number of invention patents.

He has long been focused on the bottom-level research and development and mass production transformation of NFS and NFPP polyanion cathode materials for sodium-ion batteries, focusing on four main lines of system layout: low-cost raw material system, low-temperature roasting process, framework additive modification, and anode-free/solid-state sodium electricity. His team created the original "framework" additive technology to overcome the three major industry bottlenecks of NFS: low compaction density, rapid high-temperature cycle attenuation, and gas production bulges. The company has completed the full production of the 5,000-ton NFS mass production line in Jiangxi and the commissioning of the 10,000-ton NFS/NFPP dual-stack flexible production line in Lu'an, Anhui. The products cover scenarios such as light power, UPS, start-stop power supply, and data center backup power.

In-depth echo with the theme of the forum "New Energy and New Materials"

Dr. Liu Zhongqing’s report"Application Scenarios and Commercialization of NFS and NFPP", exactly the same frequency as the main axis of this forum "new materials drive new scenarios":

The report no longer dwells on "whether NFS is more advanced than NFPP", but directly splits it into two business maps. One is the NFS map - the 3.7V high-voltage platform is compatible with existing lithium battery BMS and PACK production lines. The raw materials use chemical by-products such as ferrous sulfate and sodium sulfate. The cost of the cathode can be reduced to about 20,000 yuan/ton. It focuses on two-wheel/three-wheel light power, consumer electronics, start-stop and UPS. The essence is "using lead" "Experience of making lithium batteries at the price of acid"; the other is the NFPP map - the three-dimensional phosphorus-oxygen skeleton brings 8,000 to 20,000 long cycles, the compaction density exceeds 2.2g/cm³, and then goes straight to the source grid side energy storage, industrial and commercial peak shaving and AIDC computing power backup. The essence is "exchanging time for the cost of electricity."

The intersection of the two maps is the 10,000-ton flexible production line of Nayuan New Materials: the same factory building, the same set of core equipment, switching between NFS or NFPP according to customer orders. This puts forward very strict requirements on the equipment end - the grinding particle size distribution, dispersion uniformity, and sintering atmosphere stability must tolerate the process window of both powders at the same time. The "two-front battle" of materials companies will ultimately be paid for by the process reproducibility of front-end equipment.

In the golden autumn of November, Gucheng’s new garden opens

The launch of Yifu Intelligent Hubei New Industrial Park is not only an upgrade of factories and production lines, but also a simultaneous debut of "materials and equipment" for the era of sodium electropolyanions. When systems such as NFS, which are extremely sensitive to powder particle size distribution and slurry dispersion uniformity, enter the 10,000-ton scale, the front-end grinding and dispersing equipment is no longer a supporting role, but a key variable that determines batch consistency.

From November 16th to 17th, in Gucheng, Xiangyang, Hubei Province, we sincerely invite material companies, battery cell factories, equipment peers and investment colleagues to visit the site: see how a new park production line can take on the next generation of sodium electricity technology, and listen to Dr. Liu Zhongqing dismantle the complete path of NFS from "hard to chew" to "scenario hit". Start a new journey with you in Gucheng, see you there!
